I have read and enjoyed these books when I was in school. Enid Blyton is one author who has spent all her life writing books for Children.
There are books of Enid Blyton from the Read out aloud series for small kids to the school going kids like Secret seven, Famous Five etc. All are well known and liked among kids.
This Naughtiest girl series is one of its kind. A new girl goes to a boarding school and how she learns to adjust into the hostel and at school is the main theme. Each and every term the girl studied there has come out as a different book.
Give the children these books to read while they spend time sitting in front of the idiot box and watch unwanted violent movies. Encourage them to read.
