Nokia X3 Touch and Type Review
Nokia was always at the top at the mobile market in the Indian market especially due to their low end phones. But recently they lost their plot due to lack of planning and ‘zero homework's'they did against their competitors. They were just like a weaponless troupe .To an extent N8 did reconstruction of Nokias ‘royal mansion'. But problem was still at the low end, only creativity could succeed there. And nokia did think different. Haven't you studied about hybridization in your biology classes? Even if you forgot nokia didn't! They hybridized a simple feature phone and popular touch phones to make their Nokia X3-02 Touch-and-Type.
Nokia X3-02 Touch-and-Type is just all that what you get from its name. But if you want a show off touch screen, better ignore x3. Phone has got a handsome normal phone look. I was impressed with the style of the phone (apple's I phone have really put an effect all the recent phones!)– A slim biscuit bar look, wont consume your pocket much. Lightweight is most important physical feature of the phone. I found nothing wrong with the Keys and buttons of Nokia X3-02 Touch-and-Type. Touch screen is quite ok. Apart from touch it offers features like Wi-Fi, quad band EDGE / quad band HSPA (AT&T-compatible) 2G browsing, FM etc. The media department (video recording excluded) of the phone is excellent – X3 has a superb ‘thesaurus' to handle the format terror of media players. Be it MP3, MP4, WAV, AAC+, XviD, WMA, WMV he will just feast your ears. Even though the 5 megapixel camera has no autofocus and flash it can serve the purpose. Basic call, message, battery features are all perfect.
I didn't like his brain – OS of Nokia X3-02 Touch-and-Type is not up to the mark (these days it looks as if nokia is losing every thing because of operating systems used in the phones.). Small touch screen (2.4-inch!) will no doubt deny free movements for your fingers. No GPS, basic html browser which don't support flash videos( Opera mini will have to do everything for your browsing needs.) , poor multi tasking limits the phone for inspired users. Video recording looks nothing more than a high tempo photo slideshow . Price of phone do not match its features and capabilities.
If you like to buy and keep him with you OK—fine. But don't expect Nokia X3-02 Touch-and-Type to return as much love you give him. Before you select your phone please give your time for other good options in the same price with better features.
