Toyota Innova G1 D 8-seater Review This is the new model of the popular Innova being offered from the Toyota stables. The Innova was a huge hit in its first installment when it was released for the first time in the market. Now, it has lost the popular rave in the initial days and is struggling to keep pace with the booming car market. But can this new model of the Innova turn the tides in favour of them? Lets have a look at it.
The Innova has always been the proverbial goliath being so big in size. It is the family car in the most truest sense. Due to the large size, it has always been comfortable and offers world class interiors. The Innova is actually a replacement of the very popular Qualis which was also known for its interiors. The boot has a large luggage capacity which is useful for the frequent family travelers. The legroom space available makes it even more comfortable. Highway driving is a pleasure in this car.
But the Innova gets the boot from other car manufacturers in the most critical places. The design of the car has not been updated one bit. Although, the design is not bad, it is not good either and thus loses favor among customers for whom the design is top priority. Even the mileage of this car is low. Although it is quite good compared to the size of the car, many SUVs like the BMW X5 and the Honda CRV larger than it have beaten it in the mileage section thus losing out a bit in that section too. It offers a mileage of 7.1 kmpl in the city and 11.3 kmpl in the highway(under standard driving conditions). The car being so big isnt so comfortable riding in the city. Although the handling of the car is good, but not enough to compensate for a comfortable ride in the city.
Standard features and Cons aside this car has a great potential to attract family buyers. It appeases in the space segment and thats what really matters in a family car. I would surely recommend this car to a frequently travelling family or a large family going on regular small trips.
