Twilight Review I read Twilight a couple of months back, and trust me I finished it in three days. I was completely hooked to it.
Twilight is a novel written by the author Stephanie Meyer, and the story is about a young adult vampire human romance. It can be unbelievable but the fact is Twilight sold around 16 million copies world wide and still selling. These books sold, it seems were translated in 25 different languages. Doesn't that tell you how popular this book is?
The novel, ‘Twilight' is the fist book of the whole Twilight series. The story revolves around a young girl Isabella, (referred as Bella) who moves down to her father's house in Forks. She was earlier staying with her mother, but when her mother marries again, she plans to give the couple some space and hence moves down to her father's place.
Here she falls in love with a vampire, (Edward Cullen) which is definitely revealed later, though the readers always find him very peculiar and different than others. Edward is too good to be true. He is every woman's fantasy man. Though being a vampire, he has some exceptional qualities which are far beyond one's imagination. I mean, men generally don't possess them, so how could a vampire do? Anyways, back to the book, Edward is different. He is such a character anyone would fall in love with.
Bella is overall shown as a clumsy character totally hazard prone and she does confesses it to herself many a times in the book that what a guy like Edward finds in her. But Edward loves her unconditionally. He in fact saves her from many of such situations. Isn't that cute?
Her proximity to Edward involves her in few devastating situations that completely threaten her existence. There are vampires that she wants to get related with and there is an other group of vampires who want to feed on her. Out of the three nomadic vampires, who live on human blood, one is particularly interested in Bella. Edward kills that vampire James, but she is been bitten by him on the wrist. She may turn into a vampire herself, any moment. But Edward saves her from this dangerous situation by sucking out the venom from her wrist, before it spreads out in her body.
You are completely engrossed in this book and definitely get mad, when the book gets over and you don't know what happens next. And then you realize you need to read the second part, how irritating that is! Since you need to wait and get that book so that you could continue with the story.
There is relative amount of suspense, romance and action in this book. The concept and the idea is totally different and one of its kind. Its not that this is the only book written about vampires but this book is definitely exceptional. The book is thoroughly enjoyable and fascinating. I am sure women are more fascinated by this book then men. The beginning does make you feel as if you are reading a teenager's book of some kind but then you start enjoying it and get glued to it.
