Twilight Review I thoroughly enjoyed watching Twilight. Since I had already read the book, it was much easier to get related to the movie – Twilight.
Directed by Catherine Hardwicke, this movie released in India on 20th December 2009, and had turned out to be one of the highest grosser of the year. The movie was all in all a drama, a fantasy and a young adult romance flick. Twilight was the first part of the much waited The Twilight Saga Film Series.
The movie is about a girl, Bella Swan, played by Kirsten Stewart, who is notably different from the rest of the other girls, her age. She moves in to her father's house in Forks, and starts going to the college where she meets Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson.
She is completely bowled over by his charms and starts to like him. Initially Edward shows no interest in her, but later on he befriends her. Bella is amused with the behavior patterns of the Cullen siblings and after the incident when she is about to get hit by a truck and Edward saves her in a nick of time which is not natural to any human being astonishes her.
Edward warns her not to befriend him, but she continues to solve the mystery about the Cullen family. Finally, after much of a research she finds out that Edward is a vampire. But she is so much in love with him that it really doesn't matter much to her.
The plot takes a vicious turn, when three nomadic vampires unexpectedly enter Forks and risk the life of Bella. Edward protects her after much effort and without wasting a single moment he sucks out the venom through Bella's wrist that is being bitten by James, one of those nomadic vampires.
Edward kills James and saves Bella. But the movie ends with Victoria trying to seek out revenge and the rest of the part to be continued in the next saga – New Moon. The movie is worth watching and you kind of fall in love with Edward, portrayed remarkably by Robert Pattinson. The movie is entirely fascinating and does justice to the novel Twilight, written by Stephanie Meyer.
