Samsung D880 Dual Sim Review
Samsung D880 is a good phone when considering the dual sim functionality and the additional features they provided like camera, music player etc. It is one of the good high end phone with in the price range of Rs.12000 with a dual sim functionality. It is a good option for one using two phones for two sim cards. We can use both sim cards simultaneously in the Samsung D880 but the limitation is that the secondary sim card can only be used for making calls and sending short messages. We can also set seperate ring tones for both sim cards and the call list will indicate the sim card also.
Coming to the other features of the phone, its having a music player but doesnt sounds good as a nokia music edition phone or a good sony ericsson walkman series one. Its having an average sound quality. The camera is good enough (3 MP )with an autofocus, for the price of phone. It also has bluetooth and wap, gprs facilities which are functioning well. The FM radio is also having good reception and its nice to hear through the head phones. Another disadvantage is that it doesnt support 3G.
The design of the phone is the old fashion itself, they should have given a new trendy look to the phone. The slide feature is good but it looks, little bit bulky in size. The battery life of Samsung D880 is good considering it as a dual sim phone with good features.
So if you want to save some money from buying two phones for your two sim cards its a good option. Otherwise if you can carry two phones it is better to purchase a high end phone with in the same price and a low end phone for inserting the secondary sim.
