A new release of flash drive from Transcend, V series is the value series from Transcend and hence is cheaper than other models from the brand for the same capacity. *Merits: 1. This flash drive has a very sleek form factor and so is particularly beneficial in use in stacked from of USB sockets in which multiple devices are connected. 2. It has a Zinc Alloy polished metallic body which particularly look great and durable. 3. Comes with a chain. 4. Has very high capacity and can be very useful to carry all your data, movies, pictures and even movies on go without even worrying about shortage of storage space. 5. Supports JetFlash?elite software which has a number of useful features such as pc lock, password protect, auto login, etc. 6. A very reliable device for those who frequently have a habit of dropping their stuff as is based of the flash technology and is not prone to crashes like the portable hard disks. *Demerits: 1. Its costly at present as for lower prices then that you can get portable hard drive if storage capacity is your prime need. Hopefully the prices come down with competition. 2. Has slow Read/Write speeds. So, if time is your criteria then this is a slow and bugging device for you and you should consider the high speed series from transcend if money is not your criteria and looking for faster performance. 3. The Drive cap doesnt have any tag or technology to prevent it from falling off as it separates completely from the body and hence there is a probability of it getting lost. *** Conclusion: A device of great value for those looking for a very portable and reliable solution to carry huge amounts of multimedia data in their pocket.
