gio-R-gio, Chennai Review When it was started in the year 2004, we had been there after spending good time at the Besant Nagar beach. The food was so good, It was the time, when Pastas and Pizzas have started coming to Chennai in great numbers and we just had fun having food out there. Just as they boast of, the menu card had food items from almost all parts of the world. We saw a Tandoor counter outside the restaurant and inside there were pizzas (even square ones), soda pops (which reminded us of our comics), and different varities of finger foods. Soups with pastas and noodles are one of their speciality. From the Thai and Vietnam they had the rice varities and some side dishes and the sea food from cuba (which our friends tasted) were too inviting. They also had some American style cooking too. The mushroom sauce was quite ok as we did tasted it the first time.
To top it all, it also had Indian both south and North Indian delicacies apart from the Tandoor.
Keeping all the above in mind, we took our friends there for an outing last week end to the Besant Nagar beach and also to this restaurant which boasts itself of world cuisines, we were highly dissappointed to find that almost all have changed in just 5 years down the line.
Though all the above are still available, the taste is not just the same.
