Motorola Aura Review

Anything which has an aura about it gets a reaction of awe and reverence. That will exactly be your reaction when you see the silvery Motorola Aura . As you run your fingers over the grooves on the steel surface, you wonder at the painstaking efforts of the craftsmen who worked on it so lovingly.

Hold it snugly in your hand and the touch of the steel casing will set your palm tingling with eagerness to explore its every aspect. First off, it has a very unique screen design . The traditional square / rectangular screen has been replaced by an unconventional round face. So when the time flashes on it, it is just like looking at a watch! The next innovative body design is the sturdy mechanism that allows you to swivel the cover around and straight up, exposing the keypad.

Like most walkie-talkies, the Aura has the usual innumerable polyphonic ring tones and the capacity to store up to 30 each of dialed, received and missed calls. In addition, it can store up to a thousand entries in its vast memory phonebook. It also has messaging features, Browser WAP, and voice memo. Of course, games are definitely incorporated for relaxing times. For those who just refuse to put down the mobile for a second, the Aura provides for a wonderfully long talk time: nearly 7 hours!

Most people, though, don't just want a mobile for talking and messaging – they expect more functional features. The Motorola Aura does not disappoint. It has a 2-megapixel camera , a music player , and - what most people consider vital - Bluetooth stereo facility . So you can block out external noise and retreat into you own world of music by donning a wireless stereo Bluetooth headphone. Yet another great facility is its 2GB storage space – this provides for vast amount of photos, music and videos to be stored. With a Li-Ion standard battery and all these interesting goodies, the Aura is not exactly a lightweight compared to other talkies - its weight is about 141g .

So,overall,it is sturdy, easy to use, has great looks and good features.

“Hmmm…so what's the catch?" you may well ask.

The answer: the price tag. It will cost you a little over a lakh to get the swanky Aura in your pocket. Shocking, no?!

At that price, the aura definitely dims.
