Fortune Resort Central, Darjeeling Review
Recently we visited Darjeeling for an outing and had stayed in this hotel for two day. The initial look of the place is awesome. It is very conveniently located near the market (mall road). They also have a mountain lodge which provides a spectacular view of the Kanchenjunga Mountain range. The room balcony gives a beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset. The lodge also has some benches in the veranda, where one can sit and enjoy romantic evenings.
The interiors are really good and traditional look of the room that too at an very attractive cost. The rooms are also clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are decent, they smell funny though but it was nice. The restaurant serves really nice food.. the only fallacy is their slow service but we enjoyed a lot there. Well, it took some half an hour to get a soup. The heater in our room wasnt working and it took them some eight ten hours to get it fixed.
This place is quite good if you want to get around. It is located in the central market region so can get transportation easily to hang around. So in case you have come to relax, enjoy beautiful sights right from from window i would recommend you not to choose this place. In case you wish to move around Darjeeling go for it. The room service and breakfast was also excellent.
Hotel is centrally located in mid town shopping malls and major banks near hotel location. Famous Railway station of Darjeeling is also a walk away from hotel. From Darjeeling, one can even go to Gangtok. The hotel staff can arrange for a cab. The staff even guides you regarding the local things, what to do and what not to do in Darjeeling. They even suggest places to visit. The reception gives an idea of the ambiences of the hotel. It is a very spic and span hotel and the rooms are really neat and beautiful. The hotel staff is also very helpful and caring. Food is also good. At least I enjoyed my stay here thoroughly and recommend it. Enjoy your stay here! It is simply one of the best hotels in Darjeeling.
