Casa Piccola, Chennai Review Located on Khader Nawaz Khan Road, this eatery, if you are a die-hard foodie, you would know, is part of the Casa Piccola in Bangalore. A fan of the Bangalore outfit, I climbed the flight of stairs to the nice looking Chennai one with loads of joy that I can get my favourite sizzler and pasta in Chennai itself! The menu read almost the same. Beginning with the salads, my personal choice is the Italian Pasta salad with pasta, veggies, olives, and if you like, they can add some chicken to make the salad wholesome with the fat free vinegratte dressing. Served with toasted garlic bread, this is quite a filler My friend ordered for the better looking Chicken Macroni Salad with cubes of chicken with macroni in mayonaise dressing The spicy potato wedges serves for a good appetiser so also the Golden Fried Baby Corns if you want some soups, then you can bravely try them But if you want to just dig in to the main course, try the Pastas. My favourite is the spicy Putanesca - Pasta (penne or spagetti) in hot fiery tomato sauce with vegetables, olives and chili flakes and can have some chicken pieces add on request. The salads are accompanied with garlic bread The beef steaks are real fillers. While the classic Chicken Stroganoff - Shredded Chicken and vegetables in a mild mustard and fresh cream sauce served with rice is a safe option. veggies can dig into veggie steaks or Paneer & Veg Platter - Sauteed cubes of paneer, onions, capsicum, tomatoes, mushrooms in a tomato - flavored with the pungent yogurt sauce. The traditional fish and chips forms an ideal filler for the fish fans Most of the main course is offered with portions of garlice bread or mexican rice or even mashed potatoes.... The sandwiches are rich with a choice of three toppings to choose from (both veggie and non-veggie) The tall glass of ice tea can be a good choice The pastries or the sundae can be a good end to the food Though the entire Bangalore taste is not captured in the Chennai Casa Piccola, it still is a must go place for those who love the continental and mexican cuisine. You will leave a happy full person....the time for service is an area of improvement, though!
