| | Whenever we visit Banglore, my brother takes us out to various restaurants either for dinner or for lunch. This place is one such which he did not want us to miss. The place is fully south Indian and he said, you will get amma kai sappadu here (food made by mother). This restaurant is run by Moulis catering and most people know it by name Moulis Annapoorni.
The food is highly home made and the people serve it makes us feel at home and all the lunch is Unlimited. All that you get in this place is typical south Indian Pongal served with Vatha Kuzhambu(a unique but likable combination), Arisi upma is also served with thi vatha kuzhambu. The adai aviyal is something that you wont want to wish. Karnataka roti plate is served with Jolada Roti, Akki Roti and Ragi Roti with gravies like dal, sambar etc.
The lunch that is served on week days are of two types one Karnataka traditional chappati menu with gravy and dry curry or chappati gravy and curd rice. This is a combo apart from the regular sambar rice, or variety rice that is available for the lunch.
Even if you dont have any wedding coming your way book a table for the week end and you will be served a grand wedding feast in Banana leaf. Starting with a payasam, thayir pachidi(raitha), vada, mixed rice, more kuzhmbu, sambar, rasam, appalam, curd and pickles. And one should never forget to book a table if you want this feast.
We can see that the food is mainly dominated by coconut, curd, milk, pure ghee(though used in lesser amount). These gives authentic taste to the food that is served.
A must place to visit and eat if you are going to Banglore. But make sure you dont forget that Monday is a holiday
