| | let me give you guys a brief idea first why I went for this vehicle. My daily travelling consists of around 74 kms both too & fro. Hence I wanted a vehicle which would be - 1) Good on mileage where it should give me a minimum of 60+ 2) Comfortable for me and my family 3) Rugged and sturdy with a no-nonsense engine which is time-tested by all. 4) Double cradle chasis for rigidity & toughness compared to single cradle.
Hence in my options I zeroed in on Super Splendour (self start), Cd Delux (self start), Passion Pro (self start) and Platina (kick) / (self 125 cc).
I did a lot of research with all local mechanics in my area, i.e in Andheri in Mumbai, 95% told me to go in for the new Passion Pro..
Purchased one on 07th/April/2009. Price on road- Rs 52,029 + 1,800 for accessories like 3 Teflon coatings in a year, Side box, grip cover, Helmet (full), Engine guard (which is fitted below ) and a helmet lock.
Now about the bike
I selected the sports red colour drum (as no option for disc as shown in the adds) version. The engine is as smooth as butter trust me people.. noiseless, iniatially during the running in period of 1500 kms I drove the bike not more than 45 km/h, now I have clocked around 3715 km/s on the odo and I really love the way Its going, on highways I keep a constant speed of 65km/h. I have completed the first 2 services religiously and awaiting the third at 5500kms. In the morning I start with kick (which is a half kick start) and during the day then its self as mentioned in the manual. Gear changes are smooth and trouble free. If you notice the starter has a rain gear means the electricals are covered with round rubber coatings (like caps) to prevent sepage of water. I'm getting a mileage of 69 kmpl on highways and 61kmpl in the city (with traffic). The headlights are quite sufficient to light up the road upto 100mtrs in complete darkness. Now dayafter tommorrow im going to GOA on my baby with friends. Have kept a spare spark plug just incase it shorts during the rains (also a spare plug cap). I will keep my bike at a steady speed of 60-65 km/h on the highways. There distance clocked should be around 1200 kms in total. Just fyi guyz I had previously ridden a Passion Plus in bad weather from Mumbai To Goa without any hicc-ups. Hence I know this baby will also do it as it has the same trustworthy engine except that its a self start. So this baby certainly R-O-C-K-S. Close your eyes and go for it .....................
