Nothing certainly American about the look and feel of New Yorker, however it boasts of multi-cuisine. However, a tip, right at the beginning is that : please order the sizzlers and please do not hope for great pasta. New Yorker is essentially for sizzler lovers and if forced may be a few select North Indian dishes like the Channa Pindi and the plain naans can come to your rescue
I went with lot of hope after frequently visiting the Mumbai New Yorker. Obviously I was well entertained with the jigsaw and the crossword that was kept on the table. Though the servings do take some time, I was content with my large glass of ice tea.
The sizzler my friend ordered looked appetising but I was kicked on the Naan and the channa pindi that tasted well. The paneer dish was quite avoidable and so were the tandoori rotis.
The food was not something to boast about, though another friend of mine vowed never to order the pasta. The only saving grace was the brownie sizzler that was a tummy saver!
Also, one important notice - Veggies can find their likes here as non-veggies are strictly prosecuted - the place serves only veg food
