A perfect Edwardian era set up lures one to the Residency, the multi cuisine restaurant at the Park Shereton. If that fails to lure you, then the elaborate buffet will never fail....
I have been celebrating many personal memorable occasions at the Residency and what makes me keep visiting the place is the food and the spread on the buffet table.
Lets begin with the reservation. Its always better to call them and book in advance especially if its a personal occasion.
The buffet begins with the large array of salads (mostly continental and international with the odd desi salad), the buffet always has the choice of kebabs (veggie and non veggie) and of course the Chat corner. The live chat corner makes for you the mouth watering sev or dahi puri which is quite inviting.
If you are content with the starters, lets proceed to the main course that obviously has loads and loads of goodies beginning with pastas, noodles, south indian food, biryani and the gravies though may be a little too continental in taste for the indian food...but Hey dont grumble!
The hot Indian breads served on the table take some time though Now to my favourite part - desserts....friends, the spread is too enticing for words- a separate section for dieters and diabetics, the spread includes Indian sweets, pastries, mousse, puddings, ice creams and yes, if you were to order the fruit salad - you may find some fruits that you would have just seen in your kiddies picture book - it tastes yum
If you still want to finish your dinner with a tea or coffee, its part of the spread
The buffet at Residency is open for lunch and dinner on all days.
Lunch buffet costs Rs 800 (all inclusive) and the dinner buffet rs 900 + taxes
What makes you come back to Residency??? Well, the special occasions are incomplete without a cake cutting - the cake is kept ready if you order it when you make your reservation and the music with a live band playing during dinner is another reason The courtesy of the staff is the ITC trademark
A must visit for infusing the special dose of romance, or the special way to say you care!
