A spacious "Chinese red lantern" ambiance that can seat quite a few Chinese food lovers along with some classic Chinese instrumental music greets one at Shogun. The menu covers most of what "other" Chinese eateries in the city do, however Shogun food makes one feel that have eaten tasty Chinese for sure.....
The menu is quite exhaustive and you would need some time to think before you order
The steamed dimsums or wontons (can be an option if you have some time on hand, coz the wontons do take time to make) are a starter for every dieter. with 6 pieces, the wonton is a decent appetiser. Non veggies can indulge in some chicken lollipop or drums of heaven, obviously fried and that much more tasty!!
The main course could be a noodle (Hakka noodle) tastes ok....the medium spiced lamb gravy can also be inviting. The servings are not large yet they are filling My most favourite dish, a dieters delight is the Steamed fish, quite a huge serving, you can actually want to share the taste with your companion (dont give him too much:) and is an ideal combo with the noodle if you do not wish to have a gravy.
Though the fried ice cream is present in the menu, it is always absent when you order it....though the date pancake with vanilla ice cream works as a poor substitute.
The servings are not very large, though 2 portions of noodles would be ideal for 3 a meal for 3 will cost around Rs 900- Rs 1000.
