The Dhaba Review A car park which would get full with limited number of cars, you would need to reach the Dhaba beating the crowd to find parking space. Climb the first floor and enter the dhaba and make yourself comfy and make way for the "on-the-house" jal jeera and the roasted papads with the green chutney and pickled onions.
As you get down to talking with your companion, crackling the papads, the menu surely is a distraction.
The kebab platter is an absolute filler with the mutton sheek kabab tasting the best, followed closely by the fish tikka and the chicken tikka kebabs.
The veggie platter boasts of the paneer tikka and the cauliflower (gobi) tandoori and some aloo tikka.
Yes, a satisfying platter, the main course can vary from a biryani (the servings may be right if you are very hungry, otherwise it gets wasted if its only a single eater) to the array of rotis. The methi roti and the missi roti can be good breads to experiment with. The dhal thadka and the kadai paneer keep you happy, while the mutton rogangosh is a treat. the Chicken Paratha may need some more expertise, though.
If you have a sweet tooth and want to end your meal with a dessert- matka kulfi will be the ideal choice.
A good meal for 5 will cost you Rs 1000
The serving time is not much. Obviously the platter keeps you waiting but the time killer is the roasted papad.
Personally, the billing time needs to be worked on.
