| | It is very difficult to find restaurants with a difference in Chennai. This is a restaurant that serves only Japanese food(not a multi cuisine). Started in 1993 by Naki Yamachih this restaurant serves Japenese food like tepanyaki, sushi etc. You have to look carefully to find this restaurant in the Kauveri Complex which is quite near to the ICICI Bank in Nungambakkam High Road.
The place is decorated in Japanese style with short tables and cusions on the floor. To sit one have to remove their footwear and sit the natural style. The menu card is printed in English along with a photograph and Mr. Naki Yamachih is very kind and courteous and helps us in choosing the right dish.
The food is very expensive though. But one should learn to master the art of eating in Japanese style with chop sticks as there will be no spoon or fork.
The owner have choosen the right place, as there are a few companies where South Asian people come to India in deputation.
If you want to try something different over the week end this is a good place to go.
