The entire set of features and specifications for the product can be found on the official LG India website: http://www.in.lge.com/Product/Products-Details.aspx?pid=6716&cat=281subcat=LG%2080
After going through the staggering set of features and the really impressive specifications one might be tempted to buy a TV without actually seeing the performance in real time which can be a big mistake.
But the 32LG80FR does not disappoint with its performance even in real time. I performed a few benchmark tests to check the full HD capability of the set as India still does not receive full HD transmission.
I started out with a normal DVD of The Polar Express(Full-Screen Edition)and believe me the set was already beginning to prove its worth. This was followed by the HD edition of 300 and this is when the TV really came into its element. The picture was really crisp and detailed and the Full HD capability was being utilized to the max. Another round of testing included Halo 3 on my XBOX 360 and again with the full HD capability the picture was no less than magical. However when it comes to practical usage with the normal cable TV transmission or even the TATA Sky the picture quality does not do justice to the potential of the TV. That does not by anyway mean that the quality was disappointing.
Although the sound is not that impressive but with LCD TVs that was always an issue. This shortcoming can be rectified by connecting the TV to a Home Theater System but it is not exactly needed.
Overall the 32LG80FR is more than value for money considering the decent specifications and the Full HD Capability. Although the Bravia can boast of a better picture quality but when it comes to the price to value ratio the LG is a stiff competitor.
