It is powered by Dual core CPU. It is said by the sources from the Apple that 'once you take it in your hand you will not like to put it down and that is a promise'. Apple also unveiled an innovative iPad 2 Smart Cover that provides protection for the iPad screen, which has been designed with a unique self-aligning magnetic hinge.

Apple iPad prices are different across different parts of the world due to taxes. The iPad 16 GB model starts with a price tag of $499 in US. Official availability in India is still not known, and is expected to cost between Rs.28000 to Rs.35000 (General Wi-fi model).
