 The Movie Refugee is based on true events and is directed by Reis Celik. This Film has participated in IIFK 2008 International Film festival of Kerala. The son of an influential feudal lord in south eastern Turkey, Sivan is sent to Germany to escape from being killed when he and his family find themselves struggling between the state and the terrorist organisation. Once there, he is placed into a refugee camp. However, he is further torn apart there with German officials and the terror organisation members questioning his identity. Desperate, he nears a tragic end.

Refugee is actually a love story. Abhishek & Kareenas first debut. Both has done a fabulous job. Both were so good and decent in this movie. Story is also good. Abhishek is a Refugee in this movie and Kareena who fall in love with him and due to this both had faced with a set of trials, tribulations and sometimes cruel opposition in the form of a police officer in this movie.
