    Primary photo of products

    Hello Webmasters,

    The photograph which appears as the primary photo with the main text of a product is getting sort of smashed! Either the bottom is getting cut off or the sides are getting cut off. Hence the overall photo becomes squashed up.

    Please rectify the error as it is creating poor images of the products.

    hi vandana mam,
    what you said is perfectly correct. I too faced the same problem when i initially did my product posting in the site. But nowadays i used to get it right and perfect adopting two simple tricks. As far as i think what actually happens is that the image we are giving in first compressed by the system. after that the excess portions over something like 75x100 pixel are trimmed off.
    so if you want to get it perfect before giving the photo in,
    1. you yourself compress the picture to a small size
    2. keep some blank margins around the entire photo using an editor, so that in case trimming happens it get compensated.
