This Umax-Astra 5600 is a flatbed scanner. This scanner provides a professional use resolution of 1200x2400 dpi and can scan papers of maximum size 210x297 mm. It allows colour correction, text enhancing technology and optical character recognition and has a USB port interface. It has direct scan to print operation. The Umax scanner allows document management, image editing, and Internet applications. It is ideal for business and artist professionals, particularly for small offices which doesnt have much scanning to do. It has hot keys for scanning, e-mail, print, OCR and one user defined. It has optional transparency cover for scanning of transparencies. When you scan a document you can attach it and send it as an E mail too in this scanner. Those are the small things which are helpful in small offices.
