 Easy to Drive
It is a fully automatic (no clutch - no gears), two-door hatchback, easily seats two adults and two children. An extremely tight turning radius of just 3.5 metres makes it easy to park and maneuver in difficult city traffic conditions such as in Kolkata.
Driving the REVA is easy. Just unplug after completing the charging process, turn the key, disengage the parking brake, and turn the control knob to the forward position. Accelerate and take off.
Easy to Charge
It runs on batteries and as compared to other Electric Vehicles has an onboard charger to facilitate easy charging which can be carried out by plugging into any 15 Amp ,220 V socket at home or work. As simple as charging a mobile phone!
The onboard charger ensures the safety of the car in case of any voltage fluctuation or any electric spikes. The auto cut off mechanism ensures that the customer does not have to worry about overcharging or any other issues related to charging.
A full battery charge takes about eight hours and gives a range of 80km * (under ideal driving and maintainence condition ) . In quick-charge mode (two-and-a-half hours) 80% charge is attained - good enough for about 65 kms. A full charge consumes just about 9 units of electricity.

Good: Cute and polution free car.
Bad: There is no space for keeping luggage or bags.
Once we went on a tour to Bangalore, we are traveling on the busy roads and I am very busy in driving, my wife is observing the traffic. Our Car stopped at the signal and I was hearing the melody music from the car stereo. Suddenly my wife shouted “Krisha See it", I turned towards her direction and seen the small cute car - Reva. As I know it earlier, explained her about it. She is very excited by seeing that Car.
It is really a cute and pollution free car. |
