    Do we need to submit our pages to the search engines?

    Hi,
    I was just reading the SEO blue, there under heading "When I add a new page to a website, how will search engines know about it?",I read about submitting our pages to search engines, then only those pages will be shown in various searches.
    Is this needed to be done by us also or just submitting to this website is enough?

    Hi Chitra, You can use the share button for Google Plus, Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook, Digg available at the end of each article / content posted by you here. You or any other member who login to IRC can do this.

    There may be chances to get good ranking in searching engine by submitting pages or Sharing. Reputed website like NDTV has more shares so they appears first in search engine. Likewise if user like your post then they will share your pages. So it refers that you have written a good content.
